We live in Alaska, where I have a 9' Kodiak that I use in the summer. I like gold panning and having a camper lets me get into places that I could not otherwise go. We have a travel trailer and are snowbirds in the winter.

I am feeling like I am being almost ignored by RV sales folks. I am looking for a small truck camper just for me. I travel a long way to work and may need to rest before I start the journey home. Also I have children in Miss. and would like to have my home with me when I visit. I am curious if there are truck campers that I should be leary of or are all of them ok? I hope to purchase one in the next few days. Shari

hello john , i own a dodge 4x4 . it is a 2001 model with the old 24 valve engine, the loud one, HA. i have traveled in it allot. my camper is a Lance camper 10.3 . the truck only has travel miles on it , i only use the truck now for camping . 70k on the engine. i love to fish, and find new places to discover. jane and i can never wait to get on the road again, we sometimes wonder if we need a bigger rig, i see you have tip outs on your camper, do you like them, and your truck is a 3500. looks nice, sometimes jane and i think of getting a trailor, but then i think again, allot of the places we go , you could not get a trailor in , rough roads....but more and more we end up in places where we could just hang out in a trailor.....until then we will keep on truckin in our truck and camper.....
